Set yourself up for Success!!!
In order to set yourself up for fitness success, set exercise goals that are realistic for YOU. Every Sunday, sit down with your calendar and actually schedule your exercise session as if it were a very important Dr. appointment. Do not let anything get in the way! Remember….at least 30 days of moderate aerobic activity most days of the week! -Melissa Grattan
How Are You Feeling?
No one can make you feel bad about yourself without your consent.
Not sure if something you plan to do/say is the right thing to do/say? Need help making a decision? Ask yourself this: Does that decision or that thing I plan to do/say make me feel at peace? If no, then do not do it! If yes, than proceed! This is a great litmus test on so many levels…
Next week (2/17) is the exercise 2 class which will be taught by Melissa Grattan of Make It Fit. I have to be at a chiropractic legislative event that night. Melissa asked that you wear comfy clothes and bring 2-5 lb weights if you have them. Also bring an exercise mat if you have one. If you have any extra of the above, please bring those to share.
Got the Winter Blues???
Don’t fret….look for the positve aspects of the season. Don’t focus on what is tough about it. I know we all prefer sunny and 75 degrees, but there are a few things that make winter special for me. What can you add to the list?
1. I sleep more, and take more naps, and only feel slightly guilty.
2. I cook more and try new recipes and new types of ingredients.
3. I sit by the fire, and light candles for peace and calm.
4. I read more.
5. I catch up on home and business organization and projects.
6. I go skiing and get outside on nice days to enjoy the snow.
7. I do nothing. Summer is too nice to do nothing…I do it now!
Think Positive to Feel Positive
A few quotes to say to yourself regularly. Perhaps you want to add a few of your own. Try saying them out loud into a mirror each day until you actually believe them…only then can they become your reality:
I am fulfilling my divine potential. I knock on the door to greater opportunity. This is a graduation day as I release the past and begin again. My commitment is to love. I envision a world of peace. I accept change as an ongoing process. I share a smile and make a friend. I welcome detours as chances to discover new blessings. I free my thoughts and prepare the way for positive living.
